Morning and Afternoon Camp Programs

• Program Overview

  Our STEM summer program is geared towards helping kids realize their abilities to create fascinating devices and customize items using the latest technology. We will help kids explore technology from AR to AI, while they create items that link together electronics, 3D printing, and programming.This hands-on experimentation and learning is all done in an inspiring environment while having fun and collaborating with other campers. All camps are hosted at the Innovation Foundry in downtown Summit 465 Springfield Ave Summit, NJ 07901

• Ages

  Our summer camps are split into two programs. One for 8-11 year olds that will focus on fundamentals, and another specialty program for 12+ that will focus on more detailed design and development. Projects for younger kids will include development of devices that link together Arduinos, C++, and 3D printing. Projects for older kids will include more advanced items like AR/VR development and more detailed creation of crafts with the Glowforge laser cutter.

• Hours

  Morning Camps 9am – Noon
  Afternoon Camps 1pm – 4pm
  Extended hours available 8am-9am, 12pm-1pm and 4-5:30. For children who wish to extend their design experiences or enroll for a full day, additional time can be booked at least 24 hours in advance at $20/hour. All children must be picked up by 5:30pm. Kids over 12 who have a full maker membership are welcome to stay and use the facilities until closing at 9pm.

• Dates & Rates

  Summer camps run weekly from July 10 – August 25th
  Half-day sessions are available at $500/week. Full day programs that extend through the lunch hour are available at $1000/week.
  
  Optional extended hours are available 8am-9am, 12pm-1pm and 4-5:30 at $20/hour.
  
  Early Registration Discount of $50 off expires 5/1/23. Automatically applied at check-out.

• Policies

  Free refreshments will be provided, though kids are encouraged to bring a snack. For those attending extended full day sessions, children should pack a lunch.
  
  Every Friday we will host a pizza party from 12-1 to celebrate the great designs & achievements of the week. 🎉🍕 All morning and afternoon campers are welcome to join in on this complementary event.
  
  All children need to be picked up by 5:30. Any late pick ups will be charged $2/min.
  
  The projects during camp span multiple days to design, prototype and create. For this reason, and due to limited camp sizes, we won’t be able to offer partial weeks.
  
  Payment in full is due at registration. If you need to reschedule to another week, please email us at [email protected] We will be happy to make a shift to any sessions that still have space at no cost. If you need to cancel, there will be an 80% refund issued prior to June 1st. Cancellations after June 1st, but at least 2 weeks prior to camp start will receive a 60% refund. Cancellations one week in advance will be offered a 40% credit toward an after school program.
